Chakras are energy vortexes within the body, located along the spin. We have 7 main chakras: Root Chakra, Sacral Chakra, Solar Plexus Chakra, Heart Chakra, Throat Chakra, Third Eye Chakra and Crown Chakra. When all of our chakras are open, rotating freely and balanced, we are mentally, physically and spiritually balanced. The Root Chakra (located at the base of the spine), governs our feeling safe, protected, grounded and balanced. When the Root Chakra is balanced and open, we will feel grounded, safe, balanced and at peace in our current situation. The Sacral Chakra (located below the navel and above the pelvic area) governs our ability to create, experience pleasure, bring forth new ideas and new life. When the Sacral Chakra is balanced and open, we are able to experience pleasure, nurture ourselves and others, establish healthy boundaries and create our dreams. The Solar Plexus Chakra (located above the navel and below the rib cage) is considered our seat of power and relates to our feelings of self esteem, self worth, self confidence and personal power. When the Solar Plexus Chakra is balanced an open, we are able live according to our truth and manifest our dreams and desires. The Heart Chakra (located in the heart area) governs our compassion, empathy, peace and ability to give and receive love. When the Heart Chakra is balanced and open, we are compassionate, empathetic, peaceful and able to give and receive love. The Throat Chakra (located in the throat area), directs our ability to verbally express ourselves. When the Throat Chakra is balanced and open, we are able to speak our truth in a healthy, clear and balanced manner. The Third Eye Chakra (located on the forehead between the eyebrows), allows us to connect to our inner wisdom. When the Third Eye Chakra is balanced and open, we are intuitive, perceptive and able to visualize. The Crown Chakra (located at the top of the head), represents our connection to the divine. When the Crown Chakra is balanced and open, we are aware, open minded, able to think clearly and aligned with spirit.
